CW Fall 2010-11 TV Schedule: What Time Does Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Nikita and Your Other Favorite Shows Come On

The CW's current season is underway with all of your favorite returning shows and a couple of new favorites. This year it has filled many of its spots with quite a few returners that have aged very nicely and they have some new shows that they hope will build off the successes to springstart a few new shows for the network. I am going to break it down by night and than show and give a brief summary of each show. So if you want to know when the CW will be airing Gossip Girl, 90210, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Supernatural, One Tree Hill, Smallville or any of your other favorites. Below I will describe what the shows are and what night you can watch them and when they premiere in the fall. I also will provide a way for you buy the DVDs if you want to catch up on any seasons of One Tree Hill, Smallville, Gossip Girl or any other of your favorite CW shows you might have missed or you can just get the DVD and watch all your favorite moments whenever you want.

8:00 PM :

Monday nights the CW will rely on two of its hit popular teen dramas to start off the week. One is 90210 which is going into its 3rd season of gossiping in New York. This season welcomes the 90210 gang to its 4th season of high school: senior year which means college applications, prom, and breaking up and making up for these teens. This season is promising to deliver life like never seen before including a fall of a group of friends.

9:00 PM:

Gossip Girl is a perfect match for 90210 and this smart placement of the two shows allows viewers to see both life on the East Coast, as well as, the West Coast. The Manhatten Version of 90210 will be filled with it’s normal back stabbing, drama filled ways.

8:00 PM:

One Tree Hill- This is a show is the little television show that could. It seriously has been on the verge of being cancelled since its very first episode. It revolves around two brothers (Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty) who play basketball. They have the same dad and different moms and they also have very different relationships with their father. This show has had to reinvent itself over the years and if you look at any season of the One Tree Hill DVD you will watch how the characters mold and form over the years. A couple of years ago they did one flash forward that allowed them to skip the college years that usually mean a downfall for a show like this. Then season 7 was force to reinvent itself after the two man actors (Chad Michael Murray and Hillarie Burton) who play Lucas and Peyton, left the show. Their voids were filled but no one could make up for what they lost with this episode. When season 8 begins you will be able to see how its cliffhanger finally ends and if two regular actors make it out a live!
One of the main reasons to watch this show is the music it plays on it. Get yourself a One Tree Hill Soundtrack and you will be able to relive some of your favorite scenes when the music was playing. I definitely would recommend that you watch One Tree Hill.

9:00 PM:

Hell Cats- This is a brand new show that the CW hopes they will be able to use ANTM to get some steam going into it. It takes place at a Southern University where a prelaw student discovers she has lost her scholarship. She reluctantly is forced to try out for the cheerleader squad using her skills she used as a gymnast. This one sounds a lot like, "Bring It On"

A familiar face to fans of the CW's One Tree Hill will recognize Matt Barr who played Peyton's stalker and pretended to be her brother. It also features Ashley Tisdale as she tries something besides the High School Musical on Disney.

8:00 PM:

America’s Next Top Model (returns Feb 23rd)
This has always been one of the best performers for the CW. It consistently brings in the ratings. Tyra Banks is the head of this show and it allows women to undergo an extensive boot camp preparation that tests their stamina for modeling. It also has weekly challenges that allow the models to compete amongst each other and see which one is most fitted to be a model.

9:00 PM:

Shedding For The Wedding-  (premieres Feb 23rd)

Reminiscent of the Biggest Loser's Couple's this reality show on the CW shows 9 contestants all who are competing to see who will lose the most pounds before the big day hits.  Seems fairly compatible with America's Next Top Model but lets see if the fans agree.

8:00 PM:

The Vampire Diaries- This show quickly became one of the best performing shows for the CW during the season and the CW is banking that it is strong enough to lead into the series premiere of Nikita. The Vampire Diaries left fans surprised about a few of their favorite character and the season promises to bring us even more of the intrigue of Katherine who seems to back in town. As she enters the town and some new wearwolves enter the picture this almost seems like a better fit for Supernatual.

Nina Dobrev stars as Elena, a high school student who has just lost her parents in a car accident. As she tries to cope she meets the Salvatore brothers, Stefan (Paul Wesley and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) who have a secret of their own, they are vampires. Her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) also coping with the loss of his parents becomes acquainted with his own mix of vampires and becomes so intrigued he wants to be one.

The cast of Vampire Diaries has some pretty familiar faces. You might have seen Jeremy on Everwood playing Kyle, a promising student of Ephraim. Damon was Boone on Lost and Stefan was on 24 last season and also played Tommy on Everwood (one of Amy's boyfriends in season 2 of Everwood).

9:00 PM:

Nikita I s a remake of a movie and television show. It has an interesting premise since Nikita (played by Maqqie Q) was extremely lucky and was able to escape from the death penalty. She soon finds out this new life by not be what she would like or that the people who saved her aren’t quite who she thought they were. After learning the truth of it all she plans to run.

Another familiar face on Nikita is Shane West who was in ER and you might also know him from A Walk To Remember in which he starred alongside Mandy Moore.

8:00 PM:

Smallville,  is the oldest veteran and has lost quite a few of their main characters, but the show has moved forward but not for long since it will be there last season. The final season of Smallville will continue to to bring the young Clark Kent that he has been in this show… up to the Superman he is. And maybe a little more romance with Lois Lane?

This show stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent/ Superman himself and while stars like Kristin Kruek (Lana Lang) and Michael Rosenbuam (Lex Luthor) have left the show in the last couple of seasons it still has some great characters. Clark's best friend, Chloe (Allison Mack) who discovered his gift through the wall of weird, unfortunately probably won't get as much screen time in season 10.

9:00 PM :

Supernatural has been continually bringing forth and conquering the supernatural and the cancellation axe. Season 6 of supernatural will continue to follow both Dean and Sam in carrying their out of World mission. It stars Jared Padelecki (who you might have seen over on Gilmore Girls) and Jensen Ackles who had a bit of his own screen time on Dawson's Creek.
